I wouldn't call myself a respected reviewer, I'm more of the Rodney Dangerfield of reviewers, but I give my nod to 10/13, as I personally feel that The Eleven from that date is way, way, way better. Go figure! The Alligator/Cautionish jam is probably better on the 12th, mostly due to it's length. I can't remember ever really favoring a version of the Other One suite or the Dark Star. For me these performances have always been more about the Eleven and the jam out of New Potato.

I do agree that sound quality is probably a touch better on the 12th. Everything feels a little "bunched up" on the 13th. But that recording has loooooong been a favorite of mine since I first got an FM of it (no, not the OLD FM, a GD Hour version), and I really like or perhaps prefer the certain aspects of it's quality for some reason.
